SHARON ANNE BOCH February 12, 1958 - December 16, 2018 On December 16 at the age of 60, Sharon Boch passed away surrounded by family at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ralph; daughter Chantel (Dustin); and son Kyle (Brittany). She will also be greatly missed by her mother Pauline; siblings, Jim (Pat), Diana (Richard), Fred (Candice) and Nancy (Peter); brothers-in-law, David (Audrey) and Wayne (Peggy), along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Sharon was predeceased by her father Douglas; sister Helen; in-laws, Walter and Mary Boch; and sister-in-law Brenda. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1958, Sharon came to Petersfield in 1982 upon her marriage to Ralph. Residing at the family farm, Sharon and Ralph took an active part in the community by volunteering at Clandeboye Hall and supporting the Petersfield Curling Club. Throughout the years, Sharon was always the heartbeat of the family and farm, assisting with diligent bookkeeping, packing lunches, driving Chantel and Kyle to various events, or spending time at the camper in Chesley's Resort. From spring to fall, you would always find Sharon patiently tending to her garden and flower beds. As a child, Sharon loved to spend summers at her Dad's acreage in Ste. Rose where she developed her green thumb. Every fall, Sharon would turn the fruits of her labour into delicious preserves to share with friends and family. Sharon truly loved cooking and baking for large gatherings, especially during harvest and holidays; she always took special care to ensure that no one would leave her house hungry. In the winter months, Sharon looked forward to a yearly trip to Cancun with her husband and close friends. One of her favourite pastimes was walking along the beach and taking care to soak up the beautiful weather and scenery. This past year, Sharon and Ralph were able to spend their Cancun holiday with Chantel and Kyle, who she was so very, very proud of. This last holiday truly meant the world to Sharon and all will look back fondly and cherish the precious time spent together. Although Sharon's last year was spent in a courageous battle with cancer, she will always be remembered for her generous spirit, strong will, sharp wit and selfless ways. A luncheon will take place on January 16, 2019 at Clandeboye Hall at 2:00 p.m. with an interment to take place on a later date at the Notre Dame Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Diana, the Tessier's (Therese and Denis) and countless others for their unwavering support over the past year. In lieu of flowers, one may make a donation in Sharon's name to CancerCare Manitoba or palliative care at Selkirk Regional Health Centre. Condolences, photos and videos may be left on her tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
