GRATIA BOISJOLI October 21, 1925 - December 17, 2018 Peacefully, on Monday, December 17, 2018, Gratia passed away, surrounded by her family, at Actionmarguerite St-Vital (Foyer Valade) in Winnipeg at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by her husband Jules whom she truly missed, her son-in-law Michel Guilleminot, and granddaughter Rachel Bolté. Gratia is survived by, and is lovingly remembered by, her five children: Louise (Gérald Lamoureux), Yvette (feu Michel Guilleminot), Guy (Diane), Roland and Gisèle (Jacques Deniset). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Luc Lamoureux (Lana), Yvan Lamoureux (Kathryn), Roxanne Fruck (Chris), Monique Lepage (Dave) and Robert Lamoureux; Rachel (feu) Bolté (René), Paul Guilleminot (Sheralyn), Janine Guilleminot-Rey (Patrick), Raymond Guilleminot (Alicia); Renée Bertrand (Eric), Marcelle Barrett (Michael); Nicole Boisjoli, Gavin Boisjoli; Mélanie Deniset and Janelle Deniset. 21 great-grandchildren: Brendin, Trina, Leo, Marlo, Vanessa, Matthew, Ariel, Karyne, Jérémy, Adrian, Ari, Natasha, Véronique, Bréanne, Ben, Jacob, Elise, Juliette, Camille, Mica, Lucas; and her loving sister in-law Rita Syposh. Gratia was predeceased by her father Pamphile Laurendeau, her mother Rose-Alma (née Lamontagne), as well as all her brothers and sisters: Adélard, Alma, Raoul, Wilfred, Alice, Ernestine and their spouses. She was also predeceased by the following brothers and sisters-in-laws: Joseph, André, Edmond, Marie-Jeanne Agnès, Cécile, Florence, Albert and their spouses, and brothers, Florent, Laurent and Paul-Emile (Priest). Gratia was born on October 21, 1925 in St. Vital, Manitoba where she spent her youth. On February 9, 1946 she married Jules Boisjoli at the Cathédrale St-Boniface. In 1951, she became a member of la Paroisse du Précieux-Sang where she belonged to several groups and participated in many activities. Gratia was employed at la Caisse Populaire du Précieux-Sang from 1980 to 1990 where she made lifelong friendships. She resided at Place Eugenie from 2006 until May of 2018. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there and was surrounded by kind and caring familiar faces and new friendships. Prayers will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will be held a half hour prior to Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Eglise Précieux-Sang, 200 Kenny Street followed immediately by interment at the St. Boniface Cemetery. All are invited to attend a reception in the parish hall afterwards. The Boisjoli family wishes to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their expressions of sympathy and support.
