JEAN LEES-MILLER (née DOBROWSKI) With great sadness we must announce the passing of our mother, Jean Lees-Miller, on December 13, 2018. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, as well as her friends in Winnipeg and Kelowna where she resided happily for over 20 years. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the staff at Vista Park Lodge who took such good care of her for the last two years, until Alzheimer's claimed her. A celebration of Jean's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. INTEGRITY Cremation & Funeral Planning 204-295-5408 - IntegrityDeathCare.com

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My Condolences To Joan and John Paul . I remember your mother to this day even though the years are too many to recall. We as kids played together here on Greendell Avenue and I remember her face well. Always treated me and other with positive feelings. As I pass by your former house regularly I still remember great times. My mother was also in Vista Park Lodge and I know she was taken care as was your Mom. Sorry I didn't realize she was back in Winnipeg as I would have visited her . Hope you are all doing well in your lives, take care. Alan Rietze - Posted by: Alan Rietze (Friend) on: Mar 13, 2019

  • My heartfelt condolences to you, Joan and John Paul. Every encounter I had with Jean was filled with warmth and kindness. I enjoyed every one of them, whether it was connected to International Women's Day, the Co-op, the Winnipeg Folk Singers, or the Ukrainian Labour Temple. She was important in all those spheres, but it was her person-hood, her way of being, that touched me always. I so admired both your parents. - Posted by: Nancy Kardash (Friend) on: Jan 06, 2019
