We are shocked and saddened by the recent passing of Bill Perkins. Bill worked with us for about 10 years at the Winnipeg Cheque Production Centre. Bill was always a positive caring person, who was always at the center of great conversation. Bill was a great worker and supervisor and we were saddened when he left us for greener pastures at the Lombard office. We had only recently heard of Bill's health problems and were in shock when we heard of his passing. Bill's former colleagues all offer their deepest condolences and heart felt sorrows; Brian McKay, Shirley Stewart, Pat Stefishen, Allan Care, Bill Tanchak, Paul Shesterniak, Troy Hoebee, as well as all the other staff that worked with Bill. Bill will always be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Rest in peace Bill. - Posted by: Troy Hoebee (Former Colleague) on: Jan 08, 2019

Lynne, Joel, Natasha & Noah, I knew Bill for many years and, although we lost touch when he moved to his job downtown, every time we ran into each other it was like no time had passed. He was very conscientious and dedicated in his work, and also respectful of his colleagues. He loved to have a good chat and we shared some wonderful conversations about work and family. His priority was always his family and my heart goes out to all of you at this time of immense sorrow. He was such a beautiful person who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Sandy Braden ( Colleague ) on: Dec 30, 2018

Our deepest sympathy to Lynne, their children, Kathy and Bill & Linda. We knew William through his school years but had lost touch. Our hearts go out to Lynne's family and the Perkins family. William was a good cousin and friend to our son Kurt. Rest in peace and free of pain. Till we meet again. Sharon and Garry Asher - Posted by: Sharon & Garry Asher (Cousin) on: Dec 28, 2018

I haven't felt as sad in a long while as I did when Meaghan told me of Bill's passing. He was always so friendly at the boy's hockey games over the last few years. I imagine there will be relief knowing he isn't dealing with pain anymore, but the void he leaves is enormous. You have been, and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Lynne, Joel, Natasha & Noah...I had the privilege of working with Bill for the last four years. He was both a colleague and a mentor to me. He was so proud of his family - as the pictures all around his cubicle were a testament to. The stories he would share of family birthday dinners, vacations, soccer & hockey games and the love that flowed as he spoke about you all was palpable. He will be missed. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. - Posted by: Adele Palmer (Colleague) on: Dec 26, 2018

It was with great sadness that we heard of William's passing. Our sincerest sympathies and condolences go out to Bill Sr. and Linda at the sad loss of their beloved son, William. We were unaware of William's struggles until a few days ago and his passing came as a complete shock and surprise to our family. I have many fond memories of William when he was a young boy and as a teenager and young man. He was a quiet, delightful, and respectful person who graced any room with his poise and charm. We would also like to extend our sympathies to his wife, Lynne, who has lost a wonderful husband and their three children who have lost a wonderful father. As a friend of William's, he will be sadly missed by all the members of the Harrison family. - Posted by: David and Natasha Harrison (Friend) on: Dec 25, 2018

Lynne, Joel, Natasha and Noah, I had worked with Bill for many years and it was a joy to work with him. I will never forget the laughter and warmth his smile brought to the office each and every day. He loved to talk about his family, running, fitness, football and especially hockey. I will miss the morning discussions with him about the latest Jets game. Please accept my sincere condolences. Bill was a remarkable man and everyone is a better person for having known him. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and during this difficult time. - Posted by: Al Garlinski (Colleague) on: Dec 25, 2018

I have wonderful memories of William when we came to Winnipeg to visit and how he was always so respectful to all of us, his parents, my parents and including us girls. He was such a wonderful soul to be around, a fun loving guy and liked to see people smiling. Sending my deepest, most sincere condolences to the Perkins family. As we haven't been in touch for a few years, I had no idea of your ongoing struggles. We are so sad for all of you. I have very nice memories from when I was younger and we would come into Winnipeg for visits with our family. William was always so kind, caring and considerate. Even to us younger children that loved to come and "pester him" when we were in the neighborhood. Sending love, hugs aand strength during this difficult time. ❤ - Posted by: Tara (Friend of family) on: Dec 24, 2018

We are sincerely sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Our sympathy goes out to his entire family. Bill was a great neighbour and always had a cheery hello to us every time we saw him. His generous help snowplowing our driveway when the snow got too high will always be remembered. Rest In Peace Bill. - Posted by: Sharon and John Ikonen (Next-door neighbour) on: Dec 22, 2018

Perkins family, with great sadness and heavy sorrow to lose such a young friend, father, coach, husband and son. We went to school together in Transcona at MURDOCH MACKAY. Over the years we would see BILL, LYNN and NOAH at every soccer tournament. As coaches it was a very exciting thing to coach our sons' teams over the years. He mentioned he was there for him and his team. He loved his family so much. In the last 2 weeks the high school buddies had the great chance to say goodbye and spend some time laughing and telling stories of the good ole days. We will miss BILL and will always cherish memories. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Glenn Nanka (High school friend and soccer coach ) on: Dec 22, 2018
