KARL JOSEPH KYTAYCHUK February 14, 1929 - December 18, 2018 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. He was an adoring husband to his wife Anne for 61 years and an inspiring father to his three children, Wayne (Cheryl), Michael (Lynette) and Carla (Dean). Most of all he was the most loving grandfather to Valerie, Stephen, Julene, Jesse, Jackson, Wyatt, Cohen, Carlean and his great-grandchild Jack. He also leaves behind his brother Steve, along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Karl was born and grew up on a farm in Komarno, MB. He developed a hard working ethic, and a made-at-home-approach to life, He was known for his mechanical ingenuity and ability to fix anything and everything with whatever was handy. Others were always amazed by what he quietly fabricated from next to nothing. He always had a love for the outdoors and his favourite activities usually occurred on the farm, in the woods or at the lake. He was an avid camper, fisherman and berry picker. Karl was a man that put his family before himself and always lent a hand to others. He had a great sense of humour and a very gentle loving nature. He relished in the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren. In his later years Karl lived with his wife Anne at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. There was never a day he did not get up and spend his entire day caring for her, holding her hand and ensuring she had everything she needed. Nothing was too much for her. Everyone visiting and working in the care home admired the love that Dad showed. Dad spent all his day with her until his death. The family would like to thank all the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their love and support they provided to the family and for the dignity, they provided to our parents before and during the final days of Dad's life. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres, Highway #1 E. at Navin Road on December 28 at 2:00 p.m. Lunch to follow. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home & Cemetery Highway #1 East at Navin Road Winnipeg, MB (204) 222 3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
