DAVID MYRON ROBINS April 19, 1952 - December 19, 2018 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend David Robins on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his mother Shirley, father Bruce, sister Louise and her husband Alan. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kris, son Stephen (Kim) and their children, Lucas and Brooke, and daughter Tannis (Jason) Goulet and their daughter Harlyn. He is also survived by his stepmother Ruth Robins and family, his sister Ruth (Harold) Saunders and family, as well as nieces, Judith Waldman and Shayla Waruk and their families. David was born in Winnipeg on April 19, 1952 and resided there his entire life. He graduated from Grant Park High School and went on to the University of Winnipeg. Shortly after he joined his father in business and later started his own and CMA Sales Ltd. was founded which included manufacturing, importing children's clothing and sales over many years. He was respected in business and believed that his handshake was his word, as his father did. He was always fair and had high principles. David was a renaissance man. He loved the finer things in life such as travel, especially to Palm Springs, California, art, fine clothing and jewellery. His character, warmth and personality endeared him to so many friends and associates over the years. He was competitive and enjoyed many sports such as golf, football, hockey, baseball and squash which he enjoyed over the years as a member of Glendale Golf and Country Club and the Carleton Club. David was a very proud father of Stephen and Tannis and was always present at hockey, basketball, golf and tennis matches or school presentations as they grew up. He was equally proud and devoted to his grandchildren, Lucas, Brooke and Harlyn. David will always be remembered for his hearty laugh, caring personality and as a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family and a devoted friend to many. We carry David's memory in our hearts and cherish the love and support he gave to us and to all those whose hearts he touched. We will all miss him very much. Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. C. Kim, Dr. E. Beshara and Dr. C. Ogaranko and the wonderful Oncology nurses and staff at The Buhler Cancer Centre, Victoria Hospital, as well as Dr. R. Steigerwald, Dr. H. Taylor, Dr. C. Hi Krissy. It is now coming up to two years that David is gone. I know he is in a better place and not having to cope with our Covid pandemic. My thoughts of friendship with you have made me realize what a wonderful life David had with you and the family. My prayers are with you as you and the family continue on your journey with David in your thoughts. As always, Beverley - Posted by: Beverley Nicholson (friend) on: Nov 10, 2020

I played hockey with Dave "Big Daddy" for years. I enjoyed spending time with him and I loved his stories. He was a "character" and he always made me laugh. Dave will be missed. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Jim Willows (Friend) on: Dec 30, 2018
