LEO DUBOIS
Born: Jul 01, 1927
Date of Passing: Dec 25, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEO DUBOIS July 1, 1927 - December 25, 2018 Surrounded by family, Léo Dubois passed away in his home on Christmas day. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Adèle (neé Cournoyer) and his three daughters, Yvonne (Gauthier), Jeannine and Nicole. He leaves to mourn his seven children, Colette (Michel Rozière), Gérard, Lucille (Gilles Brunette), Emile (Donna), Julien, Lucien (Jacqueline) and Angela, his 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces as well as his sister Germaine Harding. Dad was extremely devoted to his family, friends and community. He proudly served for many years as a school trustee, a Knights of Columbus and as councilor for the RM of Taché where he was instrumental in many expansion projects. If anyone needed help, they knew he was a call away. Dad loved his job as a Grader Operator as it allowed him to help his community and spend time in his beloved Hadashville. He also loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, quading or snowmobiling with family and friends new and old. Anyone who met Dad, whether young or old, quickly became a friend who undoubtedly knew someone who knew someone in common. People were immediately drawn to his "joie de vivre" through his laughter, music, guitar playing, yodeling shenanigans and of course there was always "un p'tit coup" on the table. Special thanks to Comforts of Home Care and palliative care for all the love and support they provided for our father. Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. preceded with prayers at 12:30 p.m. at the Notre Dame de Lorette Parish Church in Lorette, MB.
