BEVERLY LAFRANCE (nee LISCHYNSKI) It is with deep regret and sorrow to announce the passing of Bev on Christmas evening after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Beverly will be deeply missed by her family and friends as she was the most loving, caring and positive person to be around. Beverly was born June 16, 1957 and spent the first 50 years of her life living in Transcona. She went to high school at Murdoch Mackay Collegiate and graduated in 1975. Many of her friends can be traced back to her earliest school days. Bev spent the majority of her adult working life at the Canada Revenue Agency retiring only a few short years ago. She also spent the past 15 years sitting on the Casera Credit Union Board of Directors. She always loved her job, but she loved working for the community more. Left to celebrate her amazing and inspirational life is her husband of 18 and a half years, Richard; her three wonderful children, Mike Porco, Jenny Porco and Michael Lafrance; her only grandchild, Jesse Porco; her mother Vera Lischynski; her brother Joe Lischynski; her two sisters, Deborah Bircham and Shirley Wahl; and many close friends. Beverly was predeceased by her father, Joe Lischynski. A celebration of Bev's life will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Seasons Funeral Chapel in Oakbank, MB, 576 Balsam Crescent at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be left at seasonsfunerals.ca
