DONALD FRANK GEORGE February 15, 1936 - January 12, 2019 Dad passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa after suffering with Dementia. He was predeceased by his wife Donna, parents, Frank and Helen George and son-in-law Dave. Dad will be dearly missed by children, Linda, Ronnie (Jen), Danny, Jackie, Cori and Mandee (Jeremy); grandchildren, Danial, Madyson, Taylor, Ryan, Holden and Reanna; great-granddaughter Mikayah; brothers, Bob (Gayle) and Dave (Debbie), sister-in-law Shirley (Doug), and numerous nieces and nephews who enjoyed Dad's cheerful disposition and wonderful sense of humour. After serving with the R.C.A.F. overseas in Germany, Dad operated George's Water Service in Headingley. Dad had a gentle spirit and welcomed all into his life with great enthusiasm. He will be remembered for his incredible integrity, kindness and good nature. We will always treasure the memories of his entertaining imitations and witty sayings. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate his life in their own way. Raising a glass of your favourite refreshment in his memory would be quite suitable. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for providing quality care in a most dignified manner. Family and friends so wishing can make donations in Dad's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba (alzheimer.mb.ca) or Save a Dog Network (saveadognetwork.ca). • Very sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a great neighbor and friend. While growing up in Headingley and having no transportation to and from Winnipeg, Don would never hesitate to pick me up on the highway in his water truck and give me a ride home. Always happy, and never had anything bad to say about anybody. You will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Darren Glowatski (Friend, neighbor) on: Jan 17, 2019

  • Don always made everyone around him laugh. We only have good memories of times spent at his home, or going for dinner. He saw the humor in people, simple aspects of life, as well as himself, laughing immediately after sharing a joke or comment. Such a character, and good man. We know he loved his family very much and missed Donna enormously. Good memories. Happy trails and God speed as you move on to a new existence in spirit and soul. - Posted by: Kim, Cliff, & Jil Friesen (Niece) on: Jan 16, 2019
