ARLENE MARION CATHERINE SHIELDS January 31, 1951 - January 8, 2019 On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, Arlene Shields passed away at St. Boniface Hospital after suffering a stroke at the age of 67 years. Arlene was predeceased by her beloved parents, Gerald (1994) and Jessie (1992) Shields. She will be remembered by her siblings, Phyllis (Jerry deceased), Harvey (Rita) and Joyce (Dave). Arlene will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much and enjoyed spending time with. Also several extended family and dear friends, many of who were lifelong. Arlene was born in Winnipeg, resided most of her life in Dugald, Manitoba and most recently in Selkirk, Manitoba. Upon finishing high school and Red River College, Arlene was employed as a secretary by the Manitoba Government, Water Resources. Cremation has taken place. While there will not be a formal service, a Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dugald Community Club, 544 Holland Street in Dugald. Burial will take place at Transcona Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation in memory of Arlene may be made to Dugald Community Club.
