MIKE SYRNYK He's gone fishin'... Michael Peter Syrnyk passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 72 years. He leaves behind two sons, Brent (Sheri) and Mike; grandchildren, Niah and Michael; brothers, Ron (Leona) and Randy; sister Brenda; nieces, Haley, Ava, Stacey, and nephews, Danny and Chris. Mike was predeceased by wife Virginia, and brother Brian. Mike was a colourful character. He could always be found with a beer in one hand, a cigarette in the other, telling some crazy story, usually about fishing. Holidays were always spent up at the family cottage in Bissett or on a fishing trip of some sort. When Mike finally hung up his Butcher's apron and retired, his dreams of spending his days fishing became a reality. He moved up to Manigotagan and spent many days casting his line and concocting new recipes for all the fish he caught. The last few years Mike has been unable to fish, so we know he is now casting his line and smiling down on us. Cheers, Dad. We love you, Papa. In compliance with Mike's wishes, no funeral service will be held. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the staff at Health Sciences Centre, homecare and Dialysis.
