Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE ANNE MACCOLLUM (nee PYLATYK) March 15, 1938 - January 18, 2019 80 Years Peacefully at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Florence left the pain and suffering behind to enter Eternal Life with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Mourning her passing is her husband of 52 years, Gordon; daughter Kerri (Ron) Mazur; son Craig MacCollum (Pam Thomas); grandchildren, Brady Carroll, Shelby Carroll, Bradley Mazur and Lindsey Mazur (Steve Barr); sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, dear cousins and many friends she considered family. She was predeceased by both parents, Michael and Anne Pylatyk; brother Leonard; and nephew and godson Jeffrey Pylatyk; parents-in-law, Clarence and Eunice MacCollum; brothers-in-law, David and Jack MacCollum; sister-in-law Margorie Sherwood; and niece Carrie Robertson. Florence was born in Selkirk Hospital but was raised in Rossdale and lived and served her community all the years of her life. Her dedication to family and the Rossdale Church was second nature to her. Her attention to detail and tradition became one of her strongest attributes. If there was something to be done or to be prepared for, she would be one of the first at the hall and one of the last to leave to make sure all was cleaned and put away. Parastas (Memorial Services) will be said on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. in the Blessed Virgin Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Catholic Church of Rossdale, 530 Donald Road, Lockport, MB. Divine Liturgy and Panakhyda will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 in the church with interment at a later date. Luncheon to follow in Rossdale Parish Hall after service. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Nursing and Health Care staff on Medical Ward 1 and the Dialysis Units at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre Hospital and Renal/ Dialysis at St. Boniface Hospital whom all had given Florence the upmost care, compassion and dignity during her stay. Dr. Badenhorst and the many physicians that have cared for her in the last years of her life. And to all of our family, friends and church family for your unconditional support for Dad and our family throughout this ending journey for our dear wife, mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Blessed Virgin Mary Protectress Ukrainian Catholic Church or to any charity of your choice. Rest in Peace Mom. Our love and prayers are with you throughout your journey. Vichnaya Pamyat Condolences, pictures and videos may be left on her tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
