HELEN TOWLE 1937 - 2019 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Helen on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, devoted mom, grama and great-grama. Left to cherish her memory are her son Rick, daughters, Karen (Cal) and Lisa (Stan), grandchildren, Christopher (Brandy), Katrina (Anders), Kolton and Garrett, and great-grandchildren, Saga and Leif. Mom was predeceased by her husband George, brothers, Doug and Bill, and sister Floss. Despite coping with diabetes for over 60 years, Mom maintained a strong independence and zest for life. Mom's favourite times were being with family, especially at Christmas. She generously volunteered her time in various community functions over the years. Mom enjoyed gardening, baking, watching sports and loved playing her keyboard. She was talented in both her music and poetry which was enjoyed by all at the Saturday jam sessions. 'Mom, now you can once again jam with Dad'. The family would like to give special thanks to Joan as well as the Beausejour and Health Sciences Centre staff for their care. A private gathering to celebrate Mom's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, and if you choose, donations in Mom's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Condolences may be left at seasonsfunerals.ca

  • I knew Helen for close to 20 years. She was one of a kind. Very talented and a fun loving person. The four of us spent many weekends having breakfast together then driving around enjoying the scenery. During those times there was always something to laugh about. I will miss her in my life. She was a very good loyal friend. My condolences to her family. Helen will be missed by many. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Barbara Merkel (Friend) on: Jan 26, 2019
