Date of Passing: Jan 28, 2019
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNETTE GOODRIDGE (KNOCKAERT) 1930 - 2019 Peacefully on the morning of January 28, 2019, Jeannette Marguerite Laura Goodridge (Knockaert) was called into heaven. She leaves her memories with Bruce and Daphine, Howard and Kerry; her six grandchildren, Mitchell, Kirby, Riley, Brenna, Vanessa and September; and also her four great-grandchildren, Isaak, Tessa, Nicholas and Brandon, her brother George Knockaert and sister-in-law Jeanette Knockaert, as well as many family and friends she had throughout the years. She now is with her loving parents, Camille and Mary Knockaert, brothers, Rene Knockaert and her sons, Duncan and Ralph, and THE LOVE OF HER LIFE, DON, also her bowling and bus buddy Margaret Goodridge. Camille and Mary brought Jeannette into the world in May, 1930. To them she was their princess. Later came her two brothers, George and Rene. The family led an adventurous life from working on the farm to helping in the store. This family showed great love and respect. Soon Jeannette met Donald and he married his Queen. They built their castle in Fort Whyte and raised four boys (Howard, Ralph, Bruce and Duncan). Jeannette was a Home Engineer and provided good food, sweet desserts, fresh veggies, beautiful flowers and hosted several parties with her family or "The Gang". Jeannette was involved in many activities, bus trips to the casino, 5-pin bowling, carpet bowling, swimming, skiing and seats on committees. She has a very active social calendar with her family and friends. We will be celebrating Jeannette's life and faith at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2G6, with interment to follow at Thomson "In the Park" Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a charity of your choice. We are so sad to hear of Jeannette's passing. I have many fond memories of all the good times and the friendship of Don and Jeannette and my parents, Russ and Anna Stuart (and myself, while growing up in Ft. Whyte). They were an extended family to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May all your memories be happy and help you through this loss. /Heather and Jack Miller - Posted by: Heather (Stuart) Miller (Fort Whyte friend and neighbour) on: Sep 10, 2019

Our condolences to Jeanette's family. I had the pleasure of trading different types of flowers (iris, lillies to name a few) over the years with Jeannette. I even tried cutting my grass in a pattern like Jeanette but for whatever reason my yard never looked as good as hers. Finally one day my other neighbor Al said to me "we shouldn't even try to keep up with Jeanette as it will never look as good as her yard ") From then on we just enjoyed Jeanette's beautiful yard and company. Fort Whyte misses you Jeanette. - Posted by: Robert Brocklehurst (Neighbour) on: Feb 05, 2019

Hello Goodridge and Knockaert family. On behalf of my mother, Leona Boone, (Marcel Boone's wife, my father), and my siblings, Dale, Doug and Darcy, we would like to offer our heartfelt condolences. I always remembered Jeannette's friendly smile, and warm hug, whenever we would see her at family functions, like showers, weddings and funerals. She had a big heart, and I know she will be missed by all of her family and friends. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Jeannette was a kind gentle soul. There was a special bond between her and my mom, Margaret Boone. Jeannette called her everyday at 8 a. m. for close to 20 years. At 88 years and 95 years that is something to show such care and concern from an aunt to her niece. ! Condolences to the family. - Posted by: Julie Douville (Cousin) on: Feb 04, 2019

My condolences to Jeannette's family. I knew your parents well as they were good friends of my parents. As I remember they used to go cross country skiing a lot with my parents the Murphy's, and the Danchuks. They had a lot of good times together over the years, especially their monthly lunches.
