PETER MINIC May 30, 1937 - January 28, 2019 Peter came to Canada in 1963 and was employed as a skilled machinist/welder for approximately seven years. In 1970 he moved in the community of West St. Paul to reside and start his own company. He began by installing grain handling equipment and repairing farm machinery. It progressed quickly to building giant grain storage bins and eventually to manufacturing of all grain handling equipment including full installations. Peter proved to be very determined with a very strong work ethic as he watched his business grow over the next 30 plus years. He provided reliable employment to many people over those years while working very hard to give his family and himself a better life. He remained a humble man and could be remembered for always being happy to help an old friend even if it meant during holidays or driving 30 miles through snowstorms in sub zero temperatures. Many times he risked his own safety because a farmer's livestock couldn't be fed due to a breakdown and no one else would help. He became known for his reliability and understanding of other people's situations. Peter is survived by numerous family members throughout the USA and parts of Europe along with his wife Perka, who shared 52 years of marriage, and his son Mike who both remain in West St Paul. He will be missed and remembered always. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Glen Eden Funeral Home 204-338-7111
