In addition to personal emails to Paige, we are blessed to have had Ron and family as friends since 1962. Ron was a trooper and did not complain through the last 25 years of pain and discomfort. He kept his mind active and kept up on current events to the end. He is missed but Paige will remain a friend. - Posted by: Wayne and Pat Moore (Friends, classmate) on: May 12, 2019

So sad to learn of Ron's passing. My sincere sympathies to Paige and the girls. Ron and I were classmates at the U of M and shared a love of horses. We spent a wonderful summer in 1968 horseback riding together. So long old friend. (Tom Sharby, friend). - Posted by: Tom Sharby (Old friend) on: Mar 14, 2019

I was so very sorry to just having heard of Ron's passing. My deepest condolences to Paige and the girls. Ron and I shared a trip to New York to attend a Biology Teachers Convention. That was where we became friends as we shared many school related stories. Ron later taught my son and daughter at Silver Heights Collegiate and they had the greatest respect for his teaching skill. I will miss his E-MAILS . Sharon and I were glad to see Ron after his 50th anniversary. - Posted by: Jim Fielding (friend and science teacher buddy) on: Feb 28, 2019

My deepest condolences to Paige, Shannon, Laurel and your families. You are like family to my brothers and I. I won't ever forget the times we all spent together over the years..."Grey Cup parties" and "taco chip" nights. Always lots of laughter. Ron, my Dad's best friend and science teacher partner. California trips and golf games. I loved our more recent visits with him and was always touched by his positive attitude and his keen interest in others despite his challenging circumstances. He was warm-hearted and intelligent. I will hold him in my heart forever. - Posted by: Kim Fleetwood (Watson) (Family friend) on: Feb 18, 2019

It is with great sadness that I learn of the recent passing of an old friend and fellow science educator, Mr. Ron Phillips. He was the first Secondary Science coordinator to be appointed in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division. With his guidance and encouragement, I was able to become the second. Ron was a true professional totally dedicated to providing the best in Science education for his students. As a coordinator, he was able to motivate and provide assistance to his fellow science teachers in the division. He became totally immersed in the intricacies of Biological Science as well as exploring effective pedagogical practices involved with motivating teachers and students. After our retirements, I thoroughly enjoyed our "Lunch With Ron" sessions at his apartment where fellow colleagues would gather and talk about old times. Up until last month, Ron and I would regularly share emails to keep in constant contact. I will miss my friend, fellow coordinator, fellow teacher, and email buddy. My condolences go out to Paige as well as the rest of his family. May God bless him and keep him in eternity. - Posted by: Victor Nehe (Fellow science teacher and science coordinator) on: Feb 09, 2019
