DINANATH SINGH 1934 - 2019 Very peacefully, surrounded by prayer, love and family by his side, on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the age of 85, Dinanath (Dean) Singh passed from this life to the next. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Dinanath was the patriarch of our entire family. He is survived by his wife Phool, of 65 years. He will live on through his family: daughters, Tara (Jayesh), Chandra (Vishnu) and Vindra (Sanjay); grandchildren respectively: Dipesh (Nicole), Rajesh, Sanjay (Kailey), Chandani, Keeshan, Roshan, Darshan and Jeevan-Dane; great-grand-children, Jackson-Dinanath and Cole-Kumar; nieces/nephews, his "first children", Moneca (Wayne), Surajdai, Ramdath (Judy), Chrisendath (Lalita) and their children and grandchildren. Dinanath came to Canada in 1967. Dean taught in Portage la Prairie then moved to Calgary and finally settled in Winnipeg. Here he had a successful career in real estate and then started his own manufacturing and distribution company. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the doctors, nurses, clinicians and staff at CancerCare Manitoba. Thank you also to all the nurses and doctors at Grace General Hospital and the paramedics who provided outstanding care. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Private service and cremation to follow. Donations may be made in Dinanath Singh's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com

  • Winnipeg Hindu community has lost an icon, who will be surely missed. He was a kind, understanding, supportive man who would not miss an opportunity to offer words of encouragement to anyone, especially young people. He was the best example of a family man that I knew, not only to his wife, three daughters, and grandchildren, but also to those whom he considered like family. He certainly did hi share to make this world a better place. May he rest in peace. You earned it. Our condolences to the entire family as you deal with this great loss...our love and thoughts are with you. Gerry & Cathy - Posted by: Gerry Sankar (Family friend) on: Feb 23, 2019
