NEIL MCIVOR WIECHMAN August 24, 1940 - February 14, 2019 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Neil. He will be forever remembered by his wife Norma and children, Ian (Lynne), Lori (Dale), Darryl (Caroline) and son-in-law Robert. He was a loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He will be forever remembered by numerous extended family and friends. Neil was predeceased by his parents, George and Jean Wiechman and his daughter Nola. Neil worked 35 years for CNR, mostly in Winnipeg, finishing his career in Edmonton as Marketing Manager. Neil was an Active Free Mason for several years. He was a Scout leader and loved camping, collecting, wood working, rock work and wintering in Arizona. The family would like to thank the Grace Hospital Emergency staff and the ICU department for their exceptional care. In memory, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg.
