Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE-MARIE GOUGEON (née BERNARD) July 16, 1923 - February 15, 2019 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Anne-Marie Gougeon on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Foyer Valade, St. Vital, Manitoba, at the age of 95 years. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all her children: Lucien (Emilienne), Georgette (Henri), Albert, Claude, Aimé (Jeanne), Roland (Leona) and Margelène (Gilbert); 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband George Gougeon in 1993, after 51 years of marriage. Anne-Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother (grandmère) and great-grandmother. All her children would like to thank Dr. Michelle Grabowski and all the staff and volunteers of Actionmarguerite-Saint-Vital for the loving and excellent care given to their chère Maman. Prayers and viewing will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, Winnipeg. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 in the Saint Claude Roman Catholic Church on Gagne Street, Saint Claude, Manitoba, with Msgr. Maurice Comeault presiding. Eulogies will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow Mass in the Saint Claude Cemetery. Donations in Anne-Marie's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice. Anne-Marie was the sweetest person I'd met. When I met her, my husband Gary and I also discovered that she knew Rose Andrushuk (Gary's Godmother). Small world. When we lived near Winnipeg, I'd often go for a visit. I know she will be missed. Her smile and the twinkle in her eyes warmed my heart. Blessings and my prayers for each one of you.
