Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Renata and family, it was with sadness that I learned of the passing of your father Joe. I enjoyed getting to know him over the years. Any time I crossed paths with Joe it was my pleasure to share some time with him. We shared many interesting conversations. I followed him as part of many Grand Entries throughout the community. He told me about his time as a Corrections Officer. (We share that experience as I too worked in Corrections before becoming a police officer). He shared with me some of his experiences as a Veteran and being deployed to places like Cypress. It was a great honor for me to have shared time with Joe. He was a true protector of our community; and a protector of our country. I will keep his memory with me. - Posted by: Danny Smyth (Chief of Police, Winnipeg Police Service) on: Feb 26, 2019

  • Joe was an amazing & lovable man!! Loved that I got to work with him for a number of years... loved his stories, his smile, his laugh, his serious looks... He will be missed terribly by so many. The world is a much emptier place with him gone from us. He will never, ever be forgotten. I was blessed to know him & be able to spend time with him, whether working or just talking/listening. - Posted by: JAN OUELLETTE (FRIEND/CO-WORKER) on: Feb 24, 2019

  • Joe....I'm so sorry to hear you have passed on but I just wanted to say I will miss you as you have been in my life for 45 years and I always remember when we always hung out and the 3 of us would make sure we were always together. When I told you my sister passed on I knew you were sad but you told me life goes on no matter what but I just wanted to say thank you for being there when I needed someone to talk to. I won't say goodbye just that I will see u again!! Safe journeys to the other side my friend! - Posted by: Beth Atkinson (Friend) on: Feb 24, 2019
