Doreen was predeceased by her husband John; her siblings, Frank, Ed, Ted, George, Clara, and son-in-law Mark Campbell. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg. Her first job was working in the Eaton's mail order department and later she worked in her father's restaurant. She married Dad in 1956 and moved to the farm in Teulon in 1961. Mom worked hard on the farm tending to the livestock, growing two large gardens, canning preserves for the winter months and looking after us five children. She enjoyed spending time with family and never missed an opportunity to see her 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. All of her life Mom enjoyed growing beautiful flower beds and houseplants. She spent many hours each year creating entries for the Teulon Ag Fair and was awarded countless ribbons. It was common to see at least one of her entries proudly displayed in the "Court-of-Honour". Mom knitted beautiful blankets for all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, volunteering, singing in the church choir, and travelling across Canada on bus tours, even venturing as far north as Alaska. Mom will be forever remembered for the kindness and generosity she gifted to others. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Manitoba, c/o 47 Squire Baker's Lane, Markham, Ontario L3P 3G8 or she would love you to perform a random act of kindness.
