MURIEL YVONNE PICTON (née CONRAD) 1945 - 2019 Mom, Mamie, Muriel. On t'aime. Tu nous as tellement donné, tellement enseigné. As Dad used to say, you did a fantastic job! Devoted to her loved ones, Mom had a steel-trap memory. She made sure everyone was up to speed on the recent news and events in all folds of the family. Mom remembered everything about our childhood, and the milestones of our children. She taught us so much about ourselves, about family, about everyday life - and we still had so much to learn from you. Mom, you were the keeper of our history, sharing stories of loved ones gone before you. We especially appreciated the stories you told of Dad, keeping his memory alive for our kids. There are no more lonely days or lonely nights as you are once again with the love of your life, forever. Give him one of your great big hugs et un beau bec! A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7. Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens, 289 avenue Dussault. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St-Boniface Hospital Foundation. Desjardins 204-233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • Because of the Boulet/Conrad connection with our parents, we always considered ourselves to have a special bond as "double cousins". Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sadness. We already miss having a game of "knock-em-off" with you (and Georges). Rest in peace Muriel. We will miss you. Wes & Janet Boulet - Posted by: Wes and Janet (Cousin) on: Mar 05, 2019

  • Our thoughts went out to you upon receiving the news of Aunt Muriel's passing! I will always cherish the evening we spent with your mom and dad when they spent the night in Tbay on their way east to visit Roger. We have always kept a picture on our dresser mirror from that visit. Both your parents were beautiful people! - Posted by: Marc & Tracy Picton (Nephew) on: Mar 04, 2019

- Posted by: Nicole Guénette (Acquaintance ) on: Mar 03, 2019

  • So sorry to hear of Muriel’s passing. Greetings and condolences to the Boulet and Conrad families. You are in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Roger Conrad (Cousin) on: Mar 02, 2019

  • My Mom was Ruby Conrad Dixon, I truly mourn your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Beverley Dixon Conover (Cousin) on: Mar 02, 2019

  • I will always remember Muriel's smile. It was a true “Beamer” and speaks to the lovely, generous person inside. We made the most of every visit with her because she was a great storyteller and because it was wonderful to see how Theo and Louis adored her. We are also so grateful to Muriel and George for raising such a wonderful son, Roger. You have gone too soon Muriel. You will be much missed and always remembered. - Posted by: Kelly Crichton (Mother-in-law to Muriel's son Roger) on: Mar 02, 2019

  • My heart went out to all of you when I was told of Tante Muriel's passing! I know how it feels to lose a mother. As hard as it is we must remember what a wonderful and loving person that she was. Even after years of moving from Manitoba, she was there for me when my son Allan was sick and had to be admitted to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. All it took was one phone call to her and she put everything aside, having me stay at the house, consoling me with many hugs, and just being there! What a special woman she was. How lucky were you all to have her as a maman! How lucky was I to have her as a matante!! - Posted by: Therese Buick (Picton) (Niece) on: Mar 02, 2019

  • Your mom was my very first friend in Somerset. I was heartbroken when they moved when Muriel and I were 5. It is only in Buffalo Point that we met. I was happy to see our children become friends. I was sad to see Muriel and George move again. - Posted by: Anita Perron (Friend) on: Mar 02, 2019
