BO YUE LAU (CHAN) 1929 - 2019 BO passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years, at Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home, Winnipeg, on March 1, 2019. BO was born September, 1929 to Wai Chan and King Ho Man in Guangdong, China. She married her loving husband, Ming Fong Lau in Hong Kong in 1950. They immigrated to Canada in the mid-1990s and lived permanently in Winnipeg since 2008. BO was an artistic and creative woman. She loved working with polymer clay and was an expert in making clay flowers and miniature potted plants. She enjoyed making friends everywhere she went and was known for her great generosity and hospitality. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Janet Kar Yan (Terry) Wan; Edward Kar Ning (Catherine) Lau; Eddie Ka Wo Lau; Ivy Kar Wai (Roland) Lim; her grand-daughters: Jessica (Blaine) Diggens and Amanda Lim; her great-grandsons: Gabriel and Caleb Diggens; and her goddaughters: Andy Chan and Gladys Yu Principe. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Ming Fong Lau, and her daughter-in-law, Anita Lau. The family wishes to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their wonderful and compassionate care for their mother over the last six years. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
