MARY GENEVIEVE HARASYM September 8, 1925 - March 7, 2019 Mary Harasym of Arborg, MB, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019 at 11:20 a.m. in her residence at Vista Park Lodge, Winnipeg. Mary was the fourth child of six to Jessie and Wasyl Harasym, born on September 8, 1925 on the family farm at Okno, MB, which is directly eight miles north of Arborg. The family moved to the town of Arborg in August 1928, where Mary obtained her high school education. Mary worked at Rogers Majestic in Toronto during the war years building parts for walkie-talkies. The majority of Mary's career was working in accounting at Canada Safeway in Winnipeg. Mary retired in 1980. One of Mary's main objectives in life was to provide her parents with comfort and happiness. Mary remained single all her life and leaves to mourn her passing, her sister-in-law Kae of Winnipeg, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her infant brother John in 1919, brother Bill in 1988, brother Theodore in 2002, sister Anne in 2004, brother Mike in 2013 and sister-in-law Olga 2017.
