BARRY MORWICK 1934 - 2019 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Edward Morwick on March 2, 2019 with his family at his side. Barry leaves his devoted wife Ollie of 63 years, his sons, Barry David and Dr. Bryan (Linda) and his two granddaughters, Karissa and Sarah as well as nieces, Kathy Gulka and Kim Jack (Dave), nephews, Glen Grenier (Judy) and Gary (Janice) and family. Barry was predeceased by his mother Katherine and father Daniel, brothers, Walter, Russel and Henry as well as sisters, Ruby, Elsie and Olga. Barry was a very hardworking man. He built his home and a cabin at Pinawa Bay and was always happy to help anyone. Barry started to work with CP Rail at an early age after his father died and then followed his dream to become a Firefighter. Barry retired as a District Chief of the Winnipeg Fire Department on April 18, 1992. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Taras Babick and Dr. Andrea Babick for their care. Thank you to the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate and the staff of the 5th floor (St. Michael's Ward) at Holy Family Home. As per Barry's wishes, a family prayer service with the Fire Department Honour Guard, led by Chaplain Mark Young, was held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. The Firefighter's Prayer was said at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Firefighters Burn Fund, P.O. Box 45001, RPO Kildonan Place, Winnipeg, MB R2C 5C7. Vichnaya Pamyat.
