He is survived by his brother Edward Saunders, his sister-in-law Louise Saunders, his nephew Michael Saunders, and his nieces, Elizabeth Saunders and Catherine Hicks. I met Bob at Kristina’s on Corydon. We were both clients. We struck up great conversation and discussed books and reading. He was a Gentleman. Kind, engaging, a beautiful person. I have had the pleasure of working in some of Winnipeg's most popular restaurants since the 80s. It is in these restaurants I had the sincere pleasure of encountering Mr. Sanders. He was always the sweetest, kindest, truest gentleman and always left me with a smile on my face. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by everyone that had the good fortune to meet him.
