(DOLLY) FLORENCE JEAN FORTIN (nee RANVILLE) 1950 - 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on March 17, 2019. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her daughters by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie Fortin; son Rodney; her parents, Joseph and Christina Ranville; sisters, Loraine, Lily, Dorothy, Aggie; and brothers, Tommy, and Henry. She is survived by her three daughters, Holly (Mike), Rebecca (Allan), Jill (Jeffrey), and grandchildren, Charly, Mercedes, Tristan, Logan, Jackson, Brandon, and Darrian; brothers; Russell, Phil, and Ritchie; sisters, Edna, Beatrice, and Margie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dolly was born in Crane River and spent her early years in Dauphin. She married Charlie, the love of her life on May 19, 1971. They resided in Winnipeg where she worked for the Government of Canada in different facilities until she retired in 2006, from CFB Winnipeg. She then spent her time working with Charlie running Belvidere Construction until his death, when she took over until the sale of the company in 2015. Mom enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, playing cards, reading and puzzling. The family would like to thank Dr. Hasdan and the staff on T3W at Deer Lodge Centre and Merna Bowes for all their care and compassion to our mom during her time at Deer Lodge. • Sorry to hear the passing of Dolly. My mom Dolores (Dolly) was very upset to hear about her niece Dolly. Dolly always had a smile on her face. I will miss teasing her. Condolences to her girls and grandchildren. - Posted by: Viola Fleury (Cousin) on: Mar 31, 2019

  • My sincere condolences to the family. I always enjoyed spending time with Dolly and Charlie along with my parents, Auntie Florence and Uncle Don. We all always had good laughs and great fun. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the funeral as I am having hip replacement surgery on April 5th. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.
