LORRAINE (LORI) JOYCE DOUGLAS (nee MARK) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Lorraine (Lori) J. Douglas on March 19, 2019 at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Douglas, in May, 2013. She was a deeply loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Janis and Gayle, grandchildren, Rob (Jace) and his wife Michelle, Jenipher and Don, great-grandsons, Gage, Ethan and Riley. She is also survived by her brother Arthur Mark and her loving friend Gwen Martel. Lori's career was with the Victoria General Hospital for well over 30 years in the admitting department. Her greatest love though was her family and she was there for everyone no matter what they needed. The greatest love and joy for her was when the twins were born, Gage and Ethan. She spent a lot of time helping to care for them in the NICU and then when they came home. When they moved to BC, she made many trips in a year to be with them and enjoy their company and watching them grow up as well as their parents and Gwen their maternal Grandma. What joy she would have doing things with those boys! Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre 3rd Floor East for the care they provided to Lori on her stays with them. A very special thank you to Dr. Brian J. Sharkey and his office staff. Dr. Sharkey's compassion and dedication to care could never be duplicated and we could never thank him enough. No memorial service has been planned at this time. Should anyone wish, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Lori's memory. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
