MARILYN ANNE THORLAKSON (nee JONES) September 30, 1945 - March 13, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marilyn Thorlakson announce her passing on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the age of 73 years. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 53 years, Gordon; four children, James (Katherine); Doug (Laurie); Trevor and Tanis (Kennedy); seven grandchildren, Seanna (Colton); Samantha (Kyle); Elizabeth (Carter); Cory; Cassandra; Kelly and Liam; and two great-grandchildren, Berkley and Ophelia; her sister Sandra (Tim). Marilyn is predeceased by her parents, James and Anne Jones and her brother Alec. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Normandie Room - 9964 93 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. For those who so desire, memorial donations in Marilyn's name may be directed to The Cross Cancer Institute - 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2. Marilyn had a deep love of knowledge, history, genealogy, knitting and music. Each day was filled with song and a sense of humour that ran deep in her soul. Marilyn is remembered for her wit and always bringing a smile and laughs to everyone in her path. She was a true original and will be sorely missed!
