  • Heather was a long serving civic employee well respected by all of her co-workers. She was also and active member of CUPE Local 500 and was made an Honorary Life Member of Local 500 in recognition of her union work. I met Heather in my capacity as President of the Local in the 1990's and always looked forward to seeing her at the annual Local 500 Honorary Life Dinner each Fall. She was a great person and a good trade unionist. On behalf of everyone at CUPE I offer sincere condolences to Heather's family and many friends. Paul Moist.
