Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) DOUGLAS FORRESTER July 29, 1932 - March 17, 2019 Bill passed away at Grace Hospital after a battle with mesothelioma. He will be missed by his wife Jean, and brother-in-law Jack Templeman. He was predeceased by his sister Barb. Bill was employed by the CPR for two years before he joined the Navy for five years. When he returned to Winnipeg, he started his career with the City of Winnipeg, holding various positions until he retired in 1989 as a Project Officer in Civic Properties. Bill and Jean were married in 1962, and, after Bill's retirement, they spent winters in Arizona and summers sailing and golfing. After 40 years of playing the bagpipes, Bill retired from the band at ANAF Unit 303. Cremation has taken place, and, at Bill's request, there will be no service.
