JOHANNA ADELAIDE PLANTE (nee WEHRLE) November 11, 1933 - March 22, 2019 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Johanne, aged 85, on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg. Her children, Linda MacKay, Leon Plante, and daughter-in-law Jocelyn (nee Allard) were at her side. Johanna cherished her grandchildren, Ashleigh, James, Sean, Arianna, Eric and Alyssa and loved them unconditionally. Johanna was born November 11, 1933 at Pigeon Lake, St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba to her late parents, Max Wehrle and Rosa (nee Kirner). She was predeceased by her husband Marcien Victor Plante (1923-1994); her brothers, Egon and George and sister Rose (Roy) Johnson. She will be missed by sisters, Erika (Stan) McKasin, Liz (Cliff) Waytiuk, Hedy (Mel) Wereschuk and Pat (Jack) Calvert and brothers, Al (Hiltrude), Victor (Marlene), Charlie (Stephanie) and Ernie (Erika). Our eternal thanks to those who provided loving and compassionate care to our mother over the years. We are forever grateful to Brenda for being such a loving friend and companion to our mom. We appreciate the love and kindness Teresa, Leah and Yen extended to our Mom and to us. Sincere thanks to all the staff at Deer Lodge who treated our mother like she was family. Funeral services and reception will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2019 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow at the Church of St. Margaret, 103 Little Britain Rd., Lockport, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
