Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET DOROTHY ISAAC November 26, 1926 - March 26, 2019 It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the death of Margaret Dorothy Isaac, she was the eldest daughter of William Lindsay (born in Scotland) and Kathleen Mills Lindsay (born in Belfast). Margaret was born in sunny St. James in 1926. After Robert Isaac returned from Second World War, he and Margaret were married in 1949. They had two boys, Murray and Blair. The family grew up and were proud residents of St. James. Family, friends, church and work were what defined Margaret. She generally saw the sunny side of life and had a gift for developing special connections with people. For many years, she worked full time for Dominion Stores and later for Comcheq, Margaret was a lifelong member of the congregation at St. James United Church. She had three very special longtime friends who have all predeceased her. For fun, she enjoyed curling, playing cards, redecorating and traveling with the "girls" yearly. Marg loved to bake and cook Sunday night dinners, relying on her brother-in-law, Vic, to do the washing up. She was one of those rare people about whom one never heard a bad word said. While living in Sturgeon Creek and Colorado Estates, her sense of adventure and desire to travel continued. Off on overnight bus trips to nearby casinos, she thoroughly enjoyed her companions, the scenery and the occasional $5.00 win. Marg continued to participate in crafts, special occasion parties, and city trips even after she moved to Lions Personal Care Home in 2017. Many thanks to staff on the Lion's second floor; especially Lawrence; Patrick; Arlo, Meg and Courtney for being so attentive and caring. Special thanks also to Comforts of Home Care as well. Margaret is survived by her son Murray and his wife Carol; daughter-in-law Gabby Isaac; nephew Craig Heisinger and family; Paula Bowkett and family. We will miss Marg's lovely smile; gentle nature; and genuine kindness. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow on site. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to True North Youth Foundation, Project 11. Their address is: 345 Graham Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 5S6. I was so sorry to hear of Margaret's passing. I knew her when she worked at Dominion Stores, worked with her at Comcheq and we continued our friendship thereafter. She got along well with my Parents, as well, and she and Bob were included in many of my social gatherings. She was a wonderful, gentle, caring person who will be missed by all who knew her.
