CATHERINE BRAWLEY (nee QUINN) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Aunt Cathie on March 28, 2019. She was predeceased by Archie, her beloved husband of 53 years, and by her four siblings, Mary, Susan, John and Margaret. Cathie will be lovingly remembered by John, Cathy, Suzanne, Kayleigh and Nathan, her only family here in Canada, and by nieces and nephews back in Scotland. Archie and Cathie came to Canada in 1966 and after a few years in Windsor, settled and made their home in Winnipeg. She worked for many years in the accounts department of MacDon Industries where she earned the respect and friendship of all of her co-workers. Cathie was an avid golfer, she and Archie spent their summers at Charleswood Golf Club where they made many lasting friendships. During the winters they could be found in Palm Springs or Phoenix golfing with the same friends. We are eternally grateful to the staff on the second floor of Golden West Personal Care Home where she spent her last years and whose tremendous care and compassion comforted her through her journey with Alzheimer's. A service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with a reception to follow.
