MARGARETE KUTZNER
1931 - 2019

Margarete Kutzner, our Tante and Aunt, left us Wednesday early morning, March 27, 2019 at 6:40 a.m., at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be deeply missed.
She was born December 18, 1931 in Liessau bei Danzig, Germany. Margarete married Hans May 14, 1955 in Rehburg Stadt, Germany. Their Canadian adventure started in June of 1960 when they immigrated to Canada, arriving by ocean liner, the Seven Seas.
Margarete will join her beloved Hans in Serenity Niche. She is survived by those who loved her, her family, friends and adopted family both in Germany and Canada.
Our family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude for the care given to our Tante from Dr. S. Singh and Dr. Y. Reda.
A memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., 4477 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My Tante Margarete will be greatly missed. I only started to get to know her again after only knowing her when I was a very young boy. In the short time I got to know her, she was a very special warm-hearted lady. I wasn't even aware of her passing as no family let me know and I had to find out by a Google search well after her passing and service. I'm sad I wasn't there to pay my respects. She will always be in my thoughts. - Posted by: Karl Kutzner (Great Nephew) on: Dec 26, 2023

  • I was just thinking of this truly special Lady. I did not know of her passing till now. Both Margarete & Hans were so wonderful to my parents, who lived next door. They stayed in contact regardless how life altered their paths. Finer people would be hard to find. They are sorrowfully missed, but I will never forget the fellowship they extended to us. - Posted by: Al Mainland (Neighbour) on: Aug 07, 2020

  • We met Margaret and her late husband Hans more than 50 years ago. We spent many enjoyable times together, visiting, camping, cottage weekends etc. The last number of years remained in touch with monthly phone calls. Rest in peace, dear Margaret. - Posted by: Linda (Friend) on: Apr 12, 2019

  • I met Margaret at seniors , she was the sweetest lady. She will be missed. Sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Helena poschner (friend from seniors) on: Apr 08, 2019

  • Dear family of Margarete, The most beautiful people I know are those who have known defeat, suffering, struggle, known loss and have found their way out of the depths. These people have an appreciation, a sensitivity and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion and a deep, loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen. They will always exist! - Posted by: Mr.& Mrs. D.Webb & Family (Friends) on: Apr 06, 2019
