JUDY SOO LUM YUEN
Soo Lum was predeceased by her beloved husband Way Quon Yuen and parents, Yu Cho and Shui Ying Lee. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Nancy (Gary), Edmond (Marion), Howard (Tara) and Susana, grandchildren: Dylan, Eric, Eastyn, Nicole, Stephani, Vanessa, and great-grandchildren: Chloe, Blake and Patrick.
She is survived by her siblings: Sun (Poi Tai), Frank (Lydia), Shing (Jessica), Ken and Tanya (Ray), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony for Soo Lum has already taken place.
She, alongside her husband, owned and operated the Empress Café and Peking Chinese Food. She took great pleasure in gardening and cooking for her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace General Hospital, homecare and the Regional Palliative Care Program who cared for her up until her passing.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.

I would always see this lovely lady in the back of the restaurant busying herself in cutting up veggies etc. I never had the opportunity of ever meeting her personally but made friends with many of her family. She and her husband inculcated a close family bond with the family I had met, and that came through to all their customers over the many years that I had the pleasure of enjoying their excellent food. I just recently by chance met Susie and she had told me of her Mom's passing and once again I want to express on behalf of myself and my wife Pat our sincere condolences.
