ANNE KYTAYCHUK
(nee GULASH)
April 28, 1932 - April 8, 2019

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt in the early hours of Monday, April 8, 2019 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre.
She was a loving wife to her husband Karl and the most caring mother to her three children, Wayne (Cheryl), Michael (Lynette) and Carla (Dean). Most of all she was always there and loved her grandchildren, Valerie, Stephen, Julene, Jesse, Wyatt, Jackson, Cohen, Carlean, and great-grandchild Jack. She also leaves behind her sisters, Helen and Marjorie, along with many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Anne was born to her parents, Stefan and Anna, who immigrated from Slovakia just a few years earlier. Along with her four close-knit sisters she grew up on a small farmstead just outside Winnipeg. Eventually meeting her husband Karl whom she married in 1957; she had a warm and happy marriage of over 61 years, until Karl's recent passing. As in life, they could not remain separated.
Anne was most known for her devotion to family; sisters, husband, children, and ultimately her grandchildren. She was always fun to be with and everyone enjoyed her innovative ways of having fun. She spent her early adult years as a hardworking homemaker and mother, but as her children grew she worked at a clothing manufacturing plant, at Eaton's Mail Order and finally at Canada Post where she retired in 1988. She then devoted all her energy to her beloved grandchildren.
Anne was very loving. She was always lending a hand to others no matter the circumstances. She was the creative one in the family and we always marvelled in her ingenuity. However, her greatest gift was her love for her grandchildren. Nothing was too much for them and if you visited at her home, you would surely see grandchildren running around. She loved taking them out and there was always a movie or exhibition to go to.
In her later years Anne resided at Kildonan Personal Care Centre where she was endeared by everyone. Her husband followed her a few years later and they lived their last years inseparable in the Centre. They spent all their waking hours together, until Karl's passing a few months earlier. Anne, unable to be apart, joined Karl in eternal life.
Anne was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road. Lunch to follow.
