GEMMA LAFRENAIS
Gemma will lovingly be remembered by her family including her husband Andre, son Don (Katie), daughter Tiffany (Marc), her granddaughters, Ava and Lily, as well as numerous siblings, nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Gemma was a truly beautiful person inside and out. Her family was of the upmost importance to her, but her endearing nature touched many other people's lives. Her kind, caring and selfless ways were felt by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing her. Her huge heart and smile will be missed by all.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Catholic Parish, 320 Charles St., on Wednesday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. An interment will follow immediately after at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and staff of 3 East Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre for the tremendous care and support. A special thanks also to the ALS Society.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society in Gemma's memory.

I met Auntie Gemma for a brief period and I loved her nature and kindness immediately. She personified compassion with every action and embraced me in her heart and home with so much warmth that I will carry it with me forever. I am honoured to have grown up with such a selfless, open hearted, hard working young lady. Thank you Gemma for all the long talks we had and for your wisdom and experience you shared with me over the years. I will treasure our relationship forever. Andre, Tiffany, Marc, Donald & Katie I am so sorry for your Loss. Thank you for the opportunity to spend time with my cousin during the last few days of her life. I will treasure it forever.
