I was Rene's overnight health care worker xo, he was more to me than just a patient. He loved my son and myself. Him and I would joke back n forth, tell old stories, talked about the news and many times I'd just be there to be with Rene. I'll miss you, Katie, Rupert, Cherun, Carl and Steph. Your passing was hard to take and I found myself in denial. Taking care of you was rewarding and not just a job to me. I cared deeply and always will remember you Rene. My grumpy ol' man that I could always get a laugh out of.... Slayter and I love you Rene "Papa" - Posted by: Annie Seguin (His night nurse) on: Apr 28, 2019

It was sad to hear of Rene's passing. He was a source of joy and encouragement to others with his big smile, positive attitude and hearty laugh! I would have very much liked to attend his service, however I am away and won't be returning in time. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family - I have included you in my prayers since receiving the news. May God's grace, the assurance Rene had for his future and the great memories created with him, bring comfort. I know he will be missed! xoxo - Posted by: Brenda Klymchuk (White) (Friend) on: Apr 24, 2019
