PHIL RIESE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and opa, Phil Riese, on April 24, 2019. He fought a good fight while keeping his sense of humour but, in the end, it was out of his hands.
Phil is survived by his wife of 61 years,
Rosemarie; daughters Christine (Dave) and Helen (Bruce); grandsons Mitch (Lisa), Matt, Austin, Kevin (Kayla) and Tyler (Marisa); great-grandchildren Konley, Kai, Karleigh, Karter; his brother Hank; and sisters,
Dorothy (Gus), Chris, Margaret (Ray) and
Helen.
Phil was born December 13, 1932, in
Winnipeg. He grew up on the home farm in Little Britain which is where he met the love of his life, Rosemarie. He continued to farm for 20 years. Phil then left farm life behind to start a new adventure in real estate which he enjoyed for 20 years. He loved the
excitement of a new project. He enjoyed the challenges and development of his many
projects but his greatest accomplishment was Larters Golf Course.
You could always find Phil at one of his favorite places – at Larters, in his garden or driving his truck. His other passions included gardening, landscaping, woodworking and travel.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. in the St Margaret's
Roman Catholic Church on Little Britain Road in Lockport .
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phil's honour to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation.

You will forever be in our hearts.
