RONALD PFLEGER
1940 - 2019

With sad hearts and wonderful memories, we announce the sudden passing of Ron on April 20, 2019, at his home.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Konrad and Nellie. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barb; his son Brad (Laura and Ethan); his daughter Shelley Brand (Chris); daughter Ronda (Vancouver); and his beloved grandchildren, Chloe and Conrad Brand. He will also be greatly missed by his special dog Coco.
Ron's business career started with Industrial Acceptance and Manitoba Brewers Associated. For over 20 years Ron was employed at Canada Revenue Agency as a Special Investigator - this was his true calling. He found great enjoyment and pride in this work and made many lifelong friends. After retirement, Ron enjoyed his time working at Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries.
Ron's love of cottage life began at his parent's cottage at Grand Beach. After that the lake adventure continued at his dream cottage at Echo Bay. Here he worked hard and played hard enjoying "lake life" with family and friends for 30 years.
Ron and Barb enjoyed many winter vacations in the sun - Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Mexico.
We had many great memories with our father. He coached us in baseball, ringette and spent numerous hours at the pool for our competitive swimming. He also enjoyed fishing at the lake with his grandchildren Chloe and Conrad.
Ron's spirit remained strong to the end and did not fade through life's adversities. He will be missed and loved forever.
Respecting Ron's wishes, there will be a private family burial. He will join his parents at Green Acres.
The family would like to thank all the friends who have reached out to us at this sad time.
If desired, donations in Ron's memory can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Rest in peace Ron!

  • My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. I worked with Ron as he was my supervisor when with Revenue Canada. A great person, supervisor and friend. Had some great times at the Norwood Hotel and Royal Canadian Legion. He will be sadly missed by all and now is in great hands. - Posted by: Dan Herzog (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2019
