MARGARET IRENE LINS
Irene was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Earl, and her daughter Joni. Those left to cherish Irene's memory and keep her spirit alive are her sons, Gordon (Danette) and Scott (Dawn), daughter-in-law Laurel, as well as her grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer), Ponch (Lisa), Stephen (Shanna), Garett (Heather), Adam and Leah.
To say that Irene lived a full life would be an understatement. Born in Trail, BC, she had the opportunity to live in many parts of Canada and in Europe as well. She met many people from all over the world and held on to many of those relationships all throughout her life. People were naturally attracted to her and Earl because of their friendly, welcoming personalities. She loved a good party whether she was singing, dancing or just playing cards. There was no stopping her. She just loved to socialize and laugh the time away. The stories were numerous and some even legendary.
But beyond all else Irene had an absolutely unwavering love for her family. You always felt safe and secure when she was around. She could make your big problems seem small and your small problems seem insignificant. She accepted each of us for whom we were and always made us feel so very special. We will truly miss that.
So, if you knew her then do as we all did and raise a glass to honour her memory. She was one of a kind.

I was first introduced to Mrs. Lins almost 50 years ago, when Joni brought me to their home. Mrs Lins was so welcoming, funny and spirited. I was treated like the rest of the fold. I spent many happy days and nights with the family. I will always remember the amazing homemade french fries that I enjoyed numerous times, the quick flash in Mrs Lins eyes when Joni and I misbehaved (which was often) lol. I remained friends with Joni for many years being the go to sitter for Ryan and Stephen during the busy curling season. I imagine there was a great party in the hereafter when Earl and Joni welcomed Margaret. My sympathy to all of her loved ones. - Posted by: Debbie Rettaler (friend of the family) on: May 02, 2019

Sending Thoughts of Sympathy. Irene and Earl were Dear friends of my Aunt Muriel and Uncle George. The woman you have perfectly described is the person my Aunt Loved to be around and is how I remember her too. Such wonderful memories. - Posted by: Lucille Hutchinson (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2019
