I'm sorry I never met Darlene. I understood from Julie they were very close as one would expect in Daughter-Mother relationship. I want to express my condolences to Julie, Bruce, Jacqueline and Family. It is a difficult time for grief in the loss of a beautiful person, now a free soul. May your many happy memories you shared with your Mom, Grandma, help to lessen your grief to find strength, peace, and hope and let go of your mom to rest in peace. I wrote this for her... Darlene, was my grandmother. She was like my mother, my protector. My rock and when all the pieces fell apart she was right there to help me pick them all back up again. She taught me to be strong and how to be a good mother. She was caring and kind and brutally honest even when you didn't want her to be. She opened up her heart and home to everyone. Was always there when someone needed a shoulder to cry on or when somebody needed help. She was an amazing woman and had one hell of a sense of humor. She will always be loved and missed by everyone that crossed her path. I love you Nanny, until we meet again!❤ - Posted by: Amanda Mensies (Granddaughter) on: Apr 30, 2019

Carol, I'm so sorry for your loss. To lose a mother is like losing your best friend. I hope as time goes by that you will find solace and know that your Mom is in a good place. Sending hugs to you, Amanda and Savannah. - Posted by: Sandy Jones (Aunt of Deb (Carol's friend and stepgreat-nanny of Savanah)) on: Apr 30, 2019
