CATERINA (CATHY) MUSTO
(CANNIZZARO)
February 21, 1958 - April 26, 2019
She was predeceased by her father Paolo, mother Maria Teresa, father-in-law Raimondo, mother-in-law Graziella, and her niece Josephine.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 41 years, Berardino; her children, Grace (Jon), Raymond (Jessica), Dino (Crystal), Teresa (Patrick), and Anthony; her grandchildren, Adrianna, Sabrina, Matteo, Dante, Leif, and Rosa. She also leaves behind many siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was born in Monterosso, Italy and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1962. In 1977, she married the love of her life Berardino and together they raised five children.
Cathy was a kind, caring, and supportive person who loved to look after people. She left an enduring impact upon the lives of those she knew, if anything was ever needed, she would be the first person there for you, constant and dependable, even when not feeling her best. Family provided her greatest joy in life, and nothing was more important to her than her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, and she took great pride in making her family their favourite meals, never once leaving any at her table hungry. She also loved gardening, and really enjoyed taking care of her beautiful flowers and vegetables under the warm summer sun.
Condolences/viewing will be held Friday, May 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue, followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gerry Ward officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cannizzaro, Ricardo Musto, Julio Musto, Tony Musto, Jon Brown, and Patrick Aguiar.
The family would like to thank the staff of the ICCU at St. Boniface Hospital for all of their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
