ODILE BERGERON
Born the fifth of seven children to Yves and Marie (Gloux) LeRoux on October 4, 1938. Odile grew up in St. Claude and there was always lots of work on the farm, and helping care for nieces and nephews. She grew up to be a beautiful young lady, and worked in Winnipeg at the maternity ward at St. Boniface Hospital.
In 1959, she married George Bergeron and together raised five children. Odile was a proud mother, and cared for her family and home lovingly. The whole family remembers her good baking, especially lemon meringue pies! Odile enjoyed camping and family get-togethers. Everyone appreciated her gentle spirit, kind heart and warm smile.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gerald (the late Eva Purkard), Gisele (Ted) Paul, Suzanne (Gary) Jakeman, Lionel and Marcel (Jacqueline), her grandchildren, Rachelle (Jevon) Lyne, Daniel (Nucklin Chuck) Paul and Paul (Charla) Jakeman, and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Trisha, Samantha and Jacob. She also leaves behind sisters, Antoinette and Cecile, and brothers, Charlie and Remi, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many she came to know at the Boyne Lodge in Carman. She is predeceased by her parents, husband George Bergeron, sister Roland Debusschere, and brother Henri LeRoux, as well as many dear family members on the LeRoux and Bergeron side.
The funeral will be held at the St. Denis Parish in Haywood, Friday, May 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with interment and reception to follow at the Haywood Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boyne Lodge.
