CAROLINE ERMA MILLER
(nee KOPP)
1941 - 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Caroline Erma Miller on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 77 years at the Lions Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, MB.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert Lawrence Miller in 2018, her parents, Otto and Hedwig Kopp, her brother Gordon Kopp and sister-in-law Albertine Kopp. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Otto Kopp, Ellen (Stan) Sydorchuk, Dorothy (Alfredo) De Rose and Alvin (Dianne) Kopp, and her two Godchildren, James (Milka) Kopp and Crystal (Jerry) Wolfe. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Ella Cook, numerous nieces, nephews and family members.
Caroline was born in Winnipeg, MB on September 23, 1941, and was baptized and confirmed in Moosehorn, MB, where she grew up living in the New Home District. In her late teens she moved to Winnipeg where she worked first as a babysitter, and then she worked for many years at Pauline Chambers.
She married the love of her life, Albert, on June 26, 1964 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn. They lived and worked in Winnipeg, and years later they owned Albert Miller Pest Control, where she worked in the office.
Caroline was a wonderful, kind, generous woman, who had a strong Christian faith. Although she suffered with rheumatoid arthritis since her late teens, she never let this stop her. Both she and Albert were always willing to host family events, welcoming family and friends over for a meal, or opening their spare bedroom for anyone who needed a place to stay.
Caroline loved to do needlepoint and had produced many beautiful pictures. She also enjoyed gardening, visiting with family and church friends, and listening to Stompin' Tom. She is going to be missed very much.
Thank you to the wonderful staff who looked after her these last two years at Lions Manor. We appreciate the love and care you have shown her.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Canadian Lutheran World Relief, the Arthritis Society or a charity of your choice.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
