LEO RAYMOND JOSEPH BOULET
October 15, 1944 - April 30, 2019
(74 years)
He was a loving, caring husband, father and grandpa.
He leaves to mourn in his passing, his wife Jean of 52 years, his son Trevor and wife Jill, along with his two granddaughters, his little sweeties, Aubrey and Maya. As well, Leo leaves behind his two sisters, Melody (Rene) and Carmen (Brian), his brothers, Wes (Janet) and Cliff (Marge) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Leo was predeceased by his father Alphonse and mother Mabel.
Leo came to Winnipeg after he graduated from Baldur High School. He worked with Anglo Canadian Oils, then Royalite Service Station where he met the love of his love Jean in 1964 and married in 1967. In 1965, Leo joined Manitoba Hydro which took him to different parts of the province before settling in Winnipeg. He retired in December, 2003 after 38 years of service.
Leo loved his sports in school where he excelled in football, and track and field. He played many different sports throughout his life including baseball, golf, hockey and curling. Hockey was his passion as he played for many years, enjoying the postgame chit chat in the dressing room that followed.
Many thanks to the staff of the 3rd floor at the Grace Hospital who kept Leo comfortable until the end.
In respecting Leo's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A private celebration of Leo's life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or the Manitoba Lung Association.
"Thank you for a lifetime of love and for being the best husband, dad, grandpa and friend in the world. We will miss you so very much."

So sorry to hear about Leo's passing. I remember too many losses against his curling team, a great curler, a great competitor, a great friend. - Posted by: Frank Halayko (Friend) on: May 21, 2019

Deepest condolences Jean and family. I often wished the provinces between would evaporate so I could have been closer to family for those many years. I treasure the memories nonetheless, and hope the treasured ones you hold will bring you comfort. Much love. Anita - Posted by: Anita Ballantine (cousin and friend) on: May 06, 2019
