Sister-in-law Yvonne St. Laurent (John) and nieces, Natasha and Samantha, sister-in-law Deedee Prokopich and niece Karissa, brother-in-law Danny Prokopich, sister-in-law Jackie (Ron) and Trisha Shannon and their respective families. As well, all families in Sicily, Belgium, Switzerland and Hamilton, Ontario.
John was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Assunta, brother Sam (Salvatore), Zio Luigi and Raimondo and Uncle Joe Caci, Zia Anna Caci, Zio Rosario Zammito (Padrino), father-in-law John Prokopich, and brothers-in-law, Alex and Brian Shannon.
John was born on June 24, 1954 in Aragona, Sicily and came to Canada in 1965. It was here where he made his dreams come true, while never forgetting his roots by always having a piece of Sicily in his heart. Over the years many trips were made with his family and friends to share "La bella Sicilia". John also loved relaxing at his beach condo in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico and shared many great holidays there with friends and family.
John loved his family and worked very hard to provide for them. His love was always shown by bulk grocery shopping and most notably planning and cooking meals for family and friends. His door was always open to either to share a glass of wine or a meal and always looked forward to a game of crib.
John had passion for business and his entrepreneurial spirit came through in his hair salons. His guests and employees were his second family. Everyone who came to the salon was greeted with his big smile or big hug. They loved his charisma and upbeat persona and he loved them. During his battle with cancer, he was happy to know he had built many friendships with clients and his past and present employees. He was ever so grateful for their loving support.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital and the palliative care staff for their compassionate care.
Condolences will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. with the Mass of Resurrection to follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in Holy Angel Mausoleum, Hwy. #1 at Navin Road, R.M of Springfield, MB. A celebration of John's life and reception will be held at the Mosaic Event Centre, 1006 Nairn Ave. after the Rite of Committal at the Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Challenge for Life 2.0 Walk on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in memory of John Caci:

Very sorry for your loss! John will be sorrowfully missed in our community. He was a pillar in the hair & beauty industry. He made a distinct mark with his tenancious "drive" and charasmatic manner. - (You were bound and determined to succeed John, of which you did well in many areas of your life, now you can rest in the arms of Jesus)! .. - Posted by: SUZANNE MARIANI (friend) on: May 08, 2019

The world has lost a bright light with John's passing. John had the ability to make everyone he met feel like you were so special. Lou and family, I am so saddened to hear the news of your brother's passing. It's been many years since I've seen John but I will never forget his beautiful, bright smile and how he had the rare ability to make you feel like you were one of his best friends!! He always remembered where stories left off from a previous meeting and had questions ready to go so he could catch up again until the next time. I can't imagine how difficult this must be...I only have one brother but the thought of losing him is unbearable. My prayers and love to you and your family and hope that many, many wonderful memories help heal your hearts over time. Lana - Posted by: Lana Rogers (friend) on: May 07, 2019
