PATRICIA FRANCES REINART
(nee RINELLA)
September 25, 1930 - May 4, 2019
Patricia was the eldest of two. She dedicated her life to her family and began to assist the family business by the time she was six-years-old. She continued to quietly assist the business through her schooling, business college, and as she began her career in the investment field working for the Wood Gundy firm. While working with Wood Gundy, Patricia took one year to herself. She was a pioneer who independently traveled abroad as a young woman hitch-hiking through Europe, taking odd jobs to extend her journey.
Patricia met the man she was going to marry at the YWCA's Saturday night dance at one of the mixed clubs in 1954. They married in 1956. While still working, Patricia and Olaf welcomed their only child, Andrew.
One of Patricia's favourite places was her cottage located at Grand Beach; the vacation home she had known her entire life. Her other favourite place was her home; a home that she and Olaf built and lived in since.
With all that Patricia did, she also began volunteering for the Winnipeg Art Gallery in the 1960s. This year, Patricia received a personal invitation from the Lieutenant Governor's office to attend a Reception at the Government House celebrating 70 Years of Volunteer Service and Support to the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
Patricia had no acquaintances; everyone who met her felt an instant connection and kinship. She built lasting friendships everywhere she went. She also enjoyed playing Bridge with friends for many decades, many of these friendships began early in Patricia's adult life and lasted a lifetime. Her love of nature was evident in the magnificent flowers Patricia lovingly grew. Patricia lived a full and happy life; her love and compassion evident to all.
Patricia is predeceased by her parents, Winnifred (nee Anderson) and Frank Rinella.
Left to mourn their loss are Patricia's husband Olaf, her son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Kathleen, brother and sister-in-law, nieces, nephew and their respective families, as well as a large extended family and many friends.
The family would like to acknowledge, and thank, Patricia's close friends for their unwavering love and the support they provided Patricia.
A celebration of Patricia's life will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on May 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia requested that those who would like provide a small donation to a cause close to their heart.

Mrs. Reinart's love for all humanity along with a strong spirit for life has touched all those that came into contact with her. A true optimist and a genuine personality along with kindness, compassion and a sense of understanding are just a few words to describe this great person. May the Lord grace her in his eternal spirit. A Karia and Family - Posted by: A Karia (Mother of my friend Andrew) on: May 14, 2019

Our days here in the Winnipeg Art Gallery Shop were always brighter when Pat spent time with us. Her smile warmed friends and staff alike. We will miss her dearly. - Posted by: Tanya Reid (WAG Shop) on: May 14, 2019

Like the above tribute says, Mrs. R (Pat) was one of the loveliest, kindest persons I have ever met. My Dad, and especially my Mom, will really miss Pat. So sorry for your loss, Olaf, Andrew and family. Ps I remember petting your little dog, Kelly, at Grand Beach. Happy days! - Posted by: Lauren Bailey Forsyth (Pat was a school friend of my Mom) on: May 12, 2019
