DOROTHY MARGARET SMALL
(nee BUCKNALL)

Dorothy passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019.
Dorothy was born at Consett, Durham, England in 1922. She immigrated to Canada with her parents in 1925, where her parents resided in the Mayfield and Pine Creek District of Manitoba until 1941 when they moved to Winnipeg.
She married Joseph Small in 1949, and resided in Dauphin, Manitoba and Yorkton, Saskatchewan before returning to Winnipeg.
She was a member of the St. James Chapter #25 Order of Eastern Star and was employed at K-Mart for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1992.
She was predeceased by her parents, Percy and Dorothy Bucknall, and husband Joseph in 1988.
She is survived by a son Joseph (Patricia) of Kamloops, BC, daughter Barbara (Jefferson Taylor) of Winnipeg, MB and four grandchildren, Brandy Rougeaux (Ron) of Lacey, Washington, Farrah Small (Cliff) of Fraser Lake, BC, Jefferson Taylor Jr. (Ashley) and Donald Taylor of Winnipeg, MB, great-grandchildren, Hailey, Danielle, Sarah, Emily, Jaiden, Chase, Alex, Will, Ariel and Wyatt, as well as many cousins and relatives in England and Scotland.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.

When this life is over and our work is done,
When loneliness, heartaches are all gone,
When my chair is empty and
tears fill your eyes,
Just remember that I loved you
and there's no need to cry.
Even though you cannot see me,
Always close in mind and heart I'll be,
Remember happy times when laughter
filled the air,
All the memories of yesterdays
and I'll be there,
My last wish on earth,
if granted me would be,
For no mourning, just happy thoughts
when you think of me.
